Serra da Lousã: ICNF prepares
Control invasive species? No. Stabilise soils? No. Cut down what survived the fire? YES. You read correctly. One month after the flames passed, the ICNF is preparing to fell both what burned and what did not. Milvoz, while conducting survey and characterisation work in the burned area of the Serra da Lousã, came across an extensive forested area that had recently been marked for felling. A conifer woodland on the northern slope of the mountain, composed of black pine and Scots pine, was affected by the flames to varying degrees
