Given the very limited occurrence of ragged robin (Lychnis flos-cuculi) within the Senhora da Alegria Bio-Reserve (and throughout the region), Milvoz members last year attempted ex-situ multiplication of the species, in order to make its introduction into suitable nearby locations possible. In this way, we sought to foster more population nuclei in the area, making the species more resilient and less susceptible to local extinction. This beautiful native plant carries the extinction risk category of 'Endangered' in Portugal, with its current distribution reduced to just a few locations.
