The first fish recorded in the Bio-Reserve
Milvoz members, intrigued by the apparent absence of fish in the Ribeiro dos Polomos throughout the area surrounding the Bio-Reserve Senhora da Alegria, carried out a meticulous survey of the watercourse, hoping to find fish species and to understand the reason for their absence in the stream. As a result of this survey, the first fish were recorded for the Bio-Reserve area: several dozen ruivaco (Achondrostoma oligolepis), an endemic species
