Our third stag beetle weekend

For the third consecutive time, we joined vacaloura.pt for the stag beetle weekend, an annual event featuring numerous activities across the various areas of the country where this insect occurs. The stag beetle (Lucanus cervus) is the centre of attention for all citizens who dedicate a few hours of their summer evening to biodiversity. This year, we decided to take a risk and organise the activity in Castelo Viegas, a location with occasional records over the years, but without established areas
